Skidaddy: Guys, the intel is pouring in from a lot of different sources-all positive- it’s also starting to line up with the two to three day old news from in country. I’ve always maintained that when the intel, runors and real news line up – the time has arisen!!!
[daz] WE ALL OWN DINAR!!!!!!!! it still has value, the revaluation is still in play, it is pending and, it is inevitable…our investments are still sound even if not timely. I feel very good about our position knowing our future has more possibility and potential with dinar than without it. I view this process as a privilege to witness a thrilling novel writing history not reporting it. And, at the end we get paid. Hang in there.
[daz] its gonna happen….they’re gonna do it..the rates will be great…its the best thing to ever happen to any of us…its gonna be awesome
rrr …Enjoy THIS moment!… Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a gift, that’s why they call it the present.

Saw where Iraq’s 2013 rate of inflation was 7.5%, up from 6.5% in 2011, not a huge increase, and definitely not in double digits, which is a positive thing for all concerned. They are seeking sustainable stability which….imo….is another positive sign for them to be working in this direction.
The Iraqi ambassador to Washington during an interview asked that the current administration be more “engaged” and focused on conditions of adverse impact with Iraq and be ready to provide provisions of support….imo….he is saying talk is cheap, provide us the things you have promised, not in 6 months but now when conflict is upon us. Sort of reminds me of an old MASH episode when they ordered parkas for the winter and they arrived the following July.
This next piece is strictly my opinion…..some of you have respectfully expressed your opinion that much to do about something involves the upcoming budget. IMO…..the play that has been discussed with numerous big banking entities is of far greater importance…..these big boy bankers do not get involved in things that do not provide a return for them.
IMO….their involvement is far more telling than what we might see in the budget. I believe they can very easily have two sets of books when it comes to the budget and with little trouble at all, they can switch books.
IMO….the pandemonium that will take place when they move away from the program rate would mask such an effort with their budget, so, while it would be nice to see a new rate in the budget….does it need to happen right away….time will tell. However, if it is not there, I believe….imo….we still have opportunity. Again, this is just my own opinion.
aggiedad77: We have seen numerous articles this morning from our news hounds that talk about the budget, that it will have a 25% deficit, that Parliament is giving the government until next Tuesday to cough up the budget, and talk of the same budget being easily passed…..imo….all good signs. Yes the government has clung to this budget longer than any other in history it seems….why would they do that you ask…..imo….maybe they are holding the “last ace of the deck”….something life sustaining for Iraq. Regardless, Tuesday is shaping up to be an interesting day to arrive.
[nano36] 01/09/14 – Brother – Baghdad A parliamentary source revealed early Thursday, said House Speaker Osama Najafi gave the government until next Tuesday to send the general budget, while the Finance Committee attributed the reasons for the delay in sending the budget to the amount of oil is known as issued by the Kurdistan region without the knowledge of the center.
The source said in a statement singled out by the reporter Agency for News News (et) that “House Speaker Osama Najafi asked by the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs purity of net debt and Finance Committee Chairman Haider al-Abadi, during the fifth session of the second legislative term of the legislative year, the fourth, which was held today, the reasons for the delay in sending the general budget, “noting that” Najafi gave the government until next Tuesday to send the budget.
The source, who asked not to be named, said, “The Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs purity of net debt assured Ngeevi that the general budget full of technically functional and ready, but there are some points and observations of the Kurdistan Regional Government about the amount of oil exports and revenues and benefits the oil companies,” noting that “the net said he was supposed to come from the provincial government delegation to Baghdad this week to complete discussions and access solutions to satisfy both parties, but they apologized for that and confirmed that they will be visiting the capital during the next week.”
